Cheerleading; What's the point? (By Tiare)
Many people think cheerleading is all about the "popular pretty girls" in short skirts, tight tops acting cute, jumping, yelling and just there because well, they are. That analogy is something that has represented cheerleading for quite some time. What people don't know is that it is actually one of the most physically demanding and dangerous sports to be a part of. In our complex society of the 21st century, cheerleading is on a completely different level! Hardcore competitions, almost impossible stunts, rigorous tumbling abilities and strenuous dance routines are all incorporated plus much more. To keep up with today's life style of cheer, not only do you have to have the muscle, but your diet, nutrition intake and workout routines all affect a cheerleader in huge ways.
